I-Report, UReport, We All Report

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution examines CNN and FNC’s user-generated content initiatives:

“CNN received about 3,000 usable I-Report submissions in April and again in May, up about 30 percent from the start of the year. Many were clips of breaking news, but a few people — including aspiring TV reporters — have become regular I-Report contributors. Only a handful of the very best items make it on CNN. More are used online.”

FNC’s Suzanne Scott “said Fox hasn’t yet received any blockbuster submissions. But, over time, she hopes uReport will help Fox get a gem.”
