Monday’s banned/unbanned saga must have been especially frustrating for CNN because Iran never actually told the cable news network of its decisions.

“CNN was not directly informed by the Iranian government of the ban when it was reported to be imposed Monday, and has not been formally informed that the ban has been lifted,” CNN.com notes.
But Iran’s official news agency reported today that CNN was allowed to “resume its activities” after President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad asked that the ban be lifted…
