It’s Never Too Early: Bob Schieffer Named 2010 Commencement Speaker
Graduation season may seem a long time away, but the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York has announced that Bob Schieffer will be its next commencement speaker, on May 21, 2010.
“As a senior statesman among journalists in media today, Bob Schieffer brings valuable insight that will help shape the perspective of our graduates, particularly as they enter a new era in their lives filled with boundless possibilities,” says RIT President Bill Destler on the school’s website.
The site also reports that Schieffer originally was invited to speak at RIT by Timothy Busch, EVP/Co-COO of Nexstar Broadcasting Group, which owns WROC-TV, Rochester’s CBS affiliate.
