Jamie McIntyre ‘Auditions’ for David Shuster’s Anchor Spot

Former CNN Pentagon correspondent Jamie McIntyre submits this “audition video” for the MSNBC gig to fill-in for David Shuster, who’s on indefinite suspension with the network.

McIntyre shot it to promote the Commedia dell Media charity event, which is coming up in D.C at the National Press Club on Thursday. The event will name “D.C.’s Funniest Journalist” and raises money for three charities: The Committee to Protect Journalists/Journalist Assistance Fund, The Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library, and Reporters Without Borders. (More info here)

McIntyre worked for CNN for 16 years until, as his bio states, he was part of a “network-wide quality reduction initiative” in 2008.
