Joe Theismann Hasn't Heard From The NFL Network

Joe Theismann apparently didn’t get the memo from the NFL Network about his broadcast future.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen. It’s great being back in the booth. I hope it will continue,” Theismann told USA Today on rumors that he was being replaced in the booth by Mike Mayock. “This is a fickle business. Anything can happen and anyone can wind up with a job.”

Oops.

Until Theismann gets the phone call from his agent, Sandy Montag, he’s under the impression that his job alongside Bob Papa and Matt Millen is secure.

“I felt toward the end of the season we were putting out an extremely good product. I think the ratings were up 38%,” Theismann added.

Joe does know the ratings were up 38 percent because of the product on the field, not the noise coming from the booth, right?
