JonBenet Arrest: Graveyard Journalism

This morning, the Today Show stationed NBC’s Michelle Kosinski at the Atlanta cemetery where JonBenet Ramsey is buried. I labeled her 11am graveyard live shot on MSNBC a “new low.” But it turns out that Kosinski isn’t the only correspondent staking out JonBenet’s grave site today. Fox News correspondent Jonathan Serrie has appeared on FNC from the cemetery, too.

“Isn’t the whole idea of standing in a graveyard for a live shot a little tacky?,” an e-mailer asks. “And one wonders why we in the media get a bad rap.” A second viewer wonders: “What did they want to do — interview the ghost of JonBenet Ramsey?”
