Joplin Update: Anderson Cooper Dodges Lightning, as Brian Williams Appears on The Weather Channel
The updates continue to pour in from Joplin, Missouri as rescuers continue to search for survivors in the rubble. By now, many high-profile anchors have arrived to file reports, including CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who appeared on “Piers Morgan Tonight” last night, only to be interrupted by a lightning strike:
Elsewhere on the cable dial, “NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams (who will once again anchor from Joplin tonight) appeared on The Weather Channel to talk with Jim Cantore. Williams tlaked about returning to Joplin under these circumstances, and what he has seen since arriving in the city:
“I cant believe this I the city in which I lived, I cant believe this was my home.”
