Katrina: Broadcast Nets Interrupt Programming For Presidential Photo Op

NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, and Fox News are broadcasting an advertisement for the President right now. All the broadcast nets interrupted programming to air Bush’s photo op with rescue workers around 11:25am.

> A tipster says: “The buzz in all the hallways here at ABC, and I’m told among my friends at NBC is how astonishingly unprepared Bush seems for this. Can we even be impartial about him anymore?? We’ve already gotten many e-mail calling for his impeachment…”

> Update: 1:33pm: An e-mailer says: “I surely hope your site doesn’t become another Bush-bashing blog. The snide remark about “broadcasting an advertisement” for the president is a little over the top. It seems he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. After 9/11 he was criticized for being emotional at times. Now he is distant and unprepared.”
