Katrina: “Call Him Hurricane Harrigan”

Tim Cuprisin was glued to the set yesterday as Steve Harrigan reported from Gulfport. “Harrigan’s sense of humor was the driest thing along the Mississippi Coast on Monday,” he writes.

“At one point, an anchor pointed out that this wasn’t Harrigan’s first hurricane.

“I’ve only covered about four or five all this season,” he said, trying to smile through the gathering storm.

Forget that Hercules Harrigan business. Call him Hurricane Harrigan.”
