Kurtz Welcomes Gavin on Reliable Sources: ‘Sometime in the next decade’

On “Reliable Sources” this morning, Howard Kurtz and his guests talked about the big media stories this week: Larry King stepping down from his nightly show, the continued fallout of the Gen. McChrystal “Rolling Stone” interview, and blogger Dave Weigel‘s departure from the Washington Post: “I was annoyed because Matt Drudge was responsible for me getting lots of hate mail,” Weigel tells Kurtz.

But Kurtz also took a shot at Politico media reporter Patrick Gavin over this blog post from last month, titled “Kurtz’s teacher’s pets” about Reliable Sources’ “clubiness.”

Kurtz this morning:

“If this is some kind of club, it’s one that Patrick Gavin has been trying to join for quite some time… Sure, Patrick, we’d be happy to have you on. Sometime in the next decade.”

Ouch.
