Lara Logan Moves To D.C.; Will Continue As Foreign Correspondent

Logan_6.24.JPGFirst on TVNewser: CBS News chief foreign correspondent Lara Logan will be re-basing to Washington, but will continue to be the “go to” correspondent for foreign stories for the network’s news broadcasts, including the CBS Evening News.

Insiders tell TVNewser the move has been in the works for many months and gives the war correspondent a home base for the first time in many years. CBS is expected to make the announcement in the coming days.

Just last week during an appearance on The Daily Show, Logan joked about the coverage of the war on American TV. “If I were to watch the news that you hear in the United States,” Logan said, “I’d just blow my brains out because it would drive me nuts.”
