Larry King on Glenn Beck – “That Don’t Impress Me”
Daily Beast’s Lloyd Grove attended last night’s party celebrating Larry King‘s new memoir, “My Remarkable Journey.” Among those in attendance, Anderson Cooper, Mort Zuckerman, Phil Donahue, Regis Philbin and Barbara Walters whose guest earlier in the day on “The View” came up in conversation.
Meanwhile, Larry was talking to Barbara about overwrought Fox News personality Glenn Beck‘s uncomfortable appearance on The View earlier in the day.
“Did you hear that he didn’t do his show today? They said he had a cold?” Barbara said happily.
“Glenn Beck – that don’t impress me,” Larry scoffed. “You know what Jackie Gleason told me once? He said, ‘I can put a young couple having intercourse on the air – and I’ll win the night.’ See what I mean?”
For the record, Beck sounded crappy with the cold when he called in to his show last night, with fill-in host Judge Napolitano. The clip is after the jump.
And back on the radio today, still sounding half-crappy with the cold, Beck demanded an apology from Walters. Which leads us to this poll:
