Live Earth: Curry Says Timing Is Right

“NBC Universal has thrown the full weight of its TV portfolio to carry Live Earth” on Saturday, including seven hours of CNBC and extensive news coverage on MSNBC.

Today’s Ann Curry will host NBC’s three-hour primetime concert special.
“This has been the year where I think the world has come to a kind of reckoning that there may be some validity to all of this discussion about climate change,” Ann Curry tells The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s come around to the idea that maybe we should take this seriously.”
