While the cable nets carried the live news conference held by Pres. Bush and new Australian PM Kevin Rudd, the ladies of The View aired yesterday’s interview with Sen. Barack Obama. Key words here: yesterday’s interview.

So it’s interesting that Barbara Walters ended the interview (her hand on his knee), during a discussion about the sub-prime mess, this way: “You know what, we’ve got to foreclose, because we’re a live show.”

Yes, Barbara you are. Except when you’re not.
