Long Time Coming: O’Reilly to Interview Obama Thursday

oreilly_9-2.jpgOne day short of the nine-month anniversary of “Don’t Block the Shot,” Bill O’Reilly will interview Sen. Barack Obama for the first time. What began with a promise in January, and was hinted at in May, will take place on Thursday. Thursday — the final night of the RNC.

“I will be interviewing Barack Obama on Thursday,” O’Reilly said at the close of the Factor tonight. “We’ll have more details for you tomorrow. How about that!”

TVNewser hears the interview will take place on Thursday in York, Pennsylvania, with the first part airing that night. Multiple parts will air thereafter.

Strategically for the Obama campaign, the interview couldn’t air at much better of a time. The final night of the Republican Convention in 2004 saw FNC top all broadcast and cable networks in Total Viewers.
