Lots of New York Festivals Awards

New York Festivals has announced hundreds of awards in the TV Programming and Promotion category. I stumbled upon the Web site after reading MSNBC’s press release about its three awards. Here are some of the interesting award winners:

> CNN’s name is listed on 25 awards. The network received a 2006 Grand Award for “CNN Presents: Impact of Terror” in the Best News Program/Insert category.

> CNN’s Paula Zahn won a 2006 Gold WorldMedal in the Best News Anchor category.

> “MSNBC Special: Coming Home” received a 2006 Gold World Medal for Television Documentary and Information Programs in the National/International Affairs category.

> MSNBC’s “A Concert For Hurricane Relief” received a 2006 Finalist Certificate for Best Writing in the Craft: Programs category.

> ABC News’ 20/20 received a 2006 Gold WorldMedal for “The Heart Of Beslan” in the Social Issues/Current Events category.
