Maria Menounos To ‘Today’

“Former ‘Entertainment Tonight’ eye candy Maria Menounos is joining ‘Today’ in a bid to ‘make it more hip and help attract a younger audience that may not relate to Katie [Couric],’” an insider tells Page Six today. Menounos will also appear on ‘Access Hollywood.’

Menounos will help with “the Alexis Glick situation,” the Post proclaims. The insider says Glick is “very unpopular with staffers and audiences aren’t bonding.”

According to IMDB, Menounos has a bit of news experience: She was an “international correspondent” for Channel One News, “the #1 news source for America’s teen students.” (She also appeared in this summer’s dud Fantastic Four. She played the “sexy nurse.”)
