In a great feat of corporate synergy, NBC News anchors Matt Lauer and Al Roker will have bit parts in the sequel to Syfy’s “Sharknado” appropriately titled “Sharknado 2.” NBC and Syfy are both NBCU networks.
Lauer and Roker shot their cameo yesterday in the “Today” show studio. The film drops on Syfy July 30.
More, from a tipster: There was a sign in the WABC lobby today that they were filming a Sharknado segment with “Kelly and Michael.”
