Matthews’ Jokes About Craig, Brings up Bridge

TVNewser received a couple tips regarding something anchor Chris Matthews said around 8:10pmET tonight during primary coverage. He was joking with Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar at the end of the interview, saying, “I hear, Senator that Larry Craig is going to start his book tour out at the airport out there, at the Republican convention this summer is that true?”

“Okay, Chris, tonight is Barack Obama‘s night, that’s what we’re focused on,” responded Klobuchar.

As Matthews started his next interview with Clinton adviser Lisa Caputo, he again joked about Larry Craig. But then, he brought up the Minnesota bridge collapse, as co-anchor Keith Olbermann could be heard saying, “Oooh.”
