At the end of America’s Newsroom this morning, co-anchor Bill Hemmer introduced a personal story. “Well here’s a story of a lovely lady, who’s got a very big Saturday night. Our Megyn is going to the altar,” he said.

Hemmer was referring to co-anchor Megyn Kelly, who will be getting married this weekend.

Janice Dean surprised Kelly with gifts that she brought onto the set during the segment, and Dean and Hemmer congratulated Kelly as she exits for her wedding and honeymoon (the groom, according to Hemmer during the segment, is Doug Brunt).

Kelly said that she would be back on the air, “in a week-and-a-half.”

After throwing to Jon Scott and Jane Skinner of Happening Now, Skinner asked for more details. “I’ll bring the details when I come back, along with some photos,” Kelly said, although she did say she would be “heading south of the border” for the honeymoon.

There is no word yet on who will fill in for Kelly during America’s Newsroom or her new 5pmET program with Hemmer, America’s Election HQ.
