MetLife is in “advanced discussions” to acquire the naming rights to the New Meadowlands Stadium, according to Sports Business Journal.

While the article reported the deal would average $17-18 million per year, a spokeswoman for the New Meadlowlands denied the report.

“There is no naming rights deal,” said Alice McGillion, spokeswoman for New Meadowlands Stadium. “We’re not going to comment on rumors and speculation.”

MetLife was one of four sponsors when the New Meadowlands opened last year. They are currently paying $7 million yearly for in-stadium branding.
