An e-mailer wonders: “Why was the sub anchor format dumped last evening, Wednesday, on the CBS Evening News with Bob Schieffer? On Monday and Tuesday, Schieffer passed the mic to Lara Logan. She then talked for awhile and” tossed to correspondents across the region. “It was not passed back to Schieffer in NY until she had finished with the reports.

But on Wednesday, Logan reported on her segment, then passed it back to Schieffer in NY, who asked for reports” from the other correspondents. “Watching the news on Monday and Tuesday, we thought it was a cumbersome process of having Logan handling the handing off,” the e-mailer adds. “I wonder if the change back to having Schieffer handling the reporters was made from the field, or by New York who saw it as a difficult arrangement…”
