Midterms: CNN #1 On Wednesday

cnn_logo.gifUpdate: 11:13am: As the election fog cleared on Wednesday, CNN was #1 in the 25-54 demo in both total day and primetime, and #1 in total viewers in total day.

Among total viewers, it was close in total day, with CNN averaging 1,147,000 and FNC averaging 1,142,000. But in the demo, CNN was clearly the victor, with an average of 425,000 P25-54 in total day (compared to 379,000 for FNC) and 645,000 in primetime (compared to 551,000 for FNC).

“CNN won nearly every hour from 10am to 3am,” the network notes. MSNBC also fared well on Wednesday, with a 24 percent share of the cable news audience…
