Mike Emanuel, Chuck Todd Still Have a Shot at Championship

bcs_logo_city_bowlgame.gifYou may recall that in September, we asked the TV White House correspondents to pick a college football national champion. Now that we know its the Alabama Crimson Tide vs. the Texas Longhorns, here’s a quick update:

Both FNC’s Mike Emanuel and NBC News’ Chuck Todd picked the Longhorns to win, so they’re still in the running. ABC’s Jake Tapper, who picked Florida, was in good shape until Saturday, when his hopes of winning were washed away with Tim Tebow‘s tears as the Gators lost to the Tide.

FBN’s Peter Barnes had Michigan, which struggled for most of the season. Ed Henry has technically already won, since he picked “anybody except Notre Dame” and they aren’t even going to a bowl game.

Once the NFL regular season ends, we’ll follow up on the anchors who picked Super Bowl champs.
