Mirror Awards — ABC’s Predator Piece a Finalist

2020_4-14.jpgABC News’ “To Catch A Predator: A Sting Gone Wrong,” from Brian Ross and Vic Walter was one of the finalists announced today in the second annual Newhouse School Mirror Awards. The awards honor excellence in media industry reporting.

The 20/20 report from Ross and Walter in September 2007 focused on Dateline NBC’s To Catch a Predator series, and highlighted the lawsuit arising from the series’ stop in Terrell, Texas.

The only other tvnewser nominated was also in the Best Investigative Piece category, a PBS Frontline report by Lowell Bergman.

If Ross and Walter win, they’ll accept the award right in NBC News’ house — the ceremony takes place on June 23 in the Rainbow Room at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
