MLB.com Pulls Quote From Mark Buehrle About Michael Vick

MLB.com published a story on Wednesday about Chicago White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle being passionate about animal rights.

When the topic of quarterback Michael Vick came up, Buehrle didn’t hold back on his thoughts.

“He had a great year and a great comeback, but there were times where we watched the game and I know it’s bad to say, but there were times where we hope he gets hurt,” Buehrle said. “Everything you’ve done to these dogs, something bad needs to happen to these guys.”

Buehrle’s quote though mysteriously disappeared from the story after it was published, leaving many to wonder if the quote was off-the-record or if someone from the White Sox (or Major League Baseball) had it pulled.

Let’s hope Scott Merkin pulled the quote himself and didn’t get a phone call from White Sox management asking him to do so.
