More Dem Debates in the Offing?

In addition to the Pennsylvania debate set for April 16 on ABC, CBS is still waiting to hear from Sen. Hillary Clinton about their invitation to a debate in North Carolina. And now TVNewser is hearing NBC may add another Democratic face-off to its schedule, only this time it could air on NBC. Several others, moderated by Brian Williams with Tim Russert, have aired on MSNBC, one of which drew the highest ratings in the history of the cable network. NBC may be looking to Indiana, which, like North Carolina, also holds its primary on May 6.

As for the CBS debate, the NYTimes reports that on a Friday conference call Clinton campaign spokesman Phil Singer blamed a “scheduling conflict” and promised an answer in “a couple of weeks.”
