For the 42nd consecutive sweep, NBC's Meet the Press won the May sweeps in Total Viewers, and won in the A25-54 demo as well. It was the best Total Viewer delivery for the program since 2004.

Versus 2007, MTP posted double-digit gains in Total Viewers and the demo.

ABC's This Week finished second place for the first time in eight years, ahead of CBS' Face the Nation. It was the best May sweeps for the program among Total Viewers for six years, and the best in the demo for two years.

NBC — 1,480,000 / ABC — 950,000 / CBS — 930,000 / FNC — 670,000
