MSNBC Wins Two CINE Special Jury Awards

CINE.jpg More award news to report: MSNBC has won two 2008 CINE Special Jury Awards. One is for the documentary For God & Country: A Marine Sniper’s Story, the other for an on-air promotion, Anchorman Countdown.

For God & Country tells the story of U.S. Marine Matthew Orth. Anchorman Countdown is a promo for Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

The documentary and the promo are now automatically up for consideration for the top CINE honor, the Masters Series Award.

According to CINE’s website, the organization was founded “by a consortium representing business, education, and government” and its awards recognize “the highest quality of non-theatrical film and video production”.
