MSNBC lost power twice for approximately 20 seconds in the last couple hours. First, around 11:20amET during a report on the condition of Attorney General Michael Mukasey.

"We're experiencing a bit of a technical problem here so I'm not sure if it's affecting what we have on air," said Tamron Hall. The power outage did not affect what was seen by viewers, although it took approximately 30 seconds before Hall was shown again.

"We're going to come back on camera here?" asked Hall to the director. "Okay, here's what's happening here ladies and gentleman. Of course, as we were reporting the very serious news affecting Attorney General Michael Mukasey, somehow we've lost all of our power here at MSNBC, at the headquarters. It's back on. We did pay the bill. But we're just not sure exactly what happened here."

We hear much of the MSNBC floor of 30 Rock went dark twice. The control room, however was unaffected. An insider says the outages caused a "small panic" on the floor.

Maybe it's just part of some energy-saving methods for NBC's Green is Universal week?
