A reader brought to our attention that this week's Newsweek profile of MSNBC's Rachel Maddow gave no disclosure that newsweek.com and msnbc.com have a partnership agreement.



The original partnership between the two organizations (back when Newsweek's URL was Newsweek.MSNBC.com) began in June, 2000, but officially ended in September, 2007. Still, the site continues to "share content with MSNBC."

So what do you think? Did it need a disclosure? And with so many media companies partnering up, is it realistic to always expect one?
