MSNBC’s Northwest Moves

A channel switch in the pacific northwest. Comcast cable has moved MSNBC from channel 47 to digital channel 128 in cities including Portland and Eugene, OR and Longview, WA. According to the blog BlueOregon, this was apparently MSNBC’s call. “According to the customer ‘service’ professional I just talked to, this is MSNBC’s decision. Something about how they’ve decided to go all-digital in 2009, had to renew their contract with Comcast, and decided to make the jump now.”

The “progressive” blogger is none too pleased: “After all, that’s the home of Keith Olbermann, who’s been regularly hammering on the Bush Administration, the Republican Party, and right-wing media on his excellent show Countdown.”
