Nader to Shep: “You Can Pull the Plug on Me”
FNC’s Shepard Smith has gotten praise for his interview with Joe the Plummer last week, and his interview last night on the FOX broadcast with Ralph Nader is sure to become another viral hit.
Gawker reports Smith took Nader to task for a comment he made on a radio station earlier in the day, saying Barack Obama‘s choice is “whether he’s going to be Uncle Sam for the people of this country, or Uncle Tom for the giant corporation.”
After Nader tried to explain, Smith said, “This year you were reduced to irrelevant. And I just wonder now if that’s what you want your legacy to be. The man who on the night that the first African American president in the history of this nation was elected, you ask if he’s going to be Uncle Sam or Uncle Tom. Stunning.”
