It was not just election day for CBS News correspondent Nancy Cordes, it was also her due date. Still, the DC-based correspondent did a live election stand-up from Arlington, VA then hopped in a car and zoomed back to the bureau where she manned the newsroom chair for more than seven hours.
Insiders tell TVNewser Cordes insisted on being part of the Election Day action. They tell us she hung in through the bitter end, with the help of some herbal tea and the occasional lap around the bureau. Today, she is at home resting and waiting for the arrival of her daughter.
