NBC Doubles # Of Investigative Producers

NBC News is “doubling the number of producers working on hard-news investigative stories,” the news division announced today. The expansion is effective today. Lisa Myers will continue to be the senior investigative correspondent, and “other NBC News correspondents will contribute to the Unit as well.”

The Investigative Unit began in 2002. “This expansion is a strong statement about the journalistic values and priorities of NBC News and we are grateful to Steve Capus for the opportunity and the challenge,” Myers says. Here’s the press release…
