NBC Launches Tim Russert Fellowship Program

russert_4-6.jpgFirst on TVNewser: NBC Universal has announced the creation of the Tim Russert Fellowship Program.

The program will award a one-year position to a recent college graduate and will be based in NBC’s Washington, D.C. bureau. It will include “several long-term rotations” within the bureau.

From the job posting:

“The Tim Russert Fellowship will be awarded to one motivated, passionate graduating senior interested in pursuing a career in political journalism…The goal is to give a talented, young journalist the opportunity to be mentored by seasoned NBC News staff members and experience a yearlong ‘boot camp’ in political journalism.”

The deadline for applicants is Friday at 5pmET.
