NBC News Gets Blago Ahead of ABC Interviews
Yesterday, NBC’s Amy Robach sat down with embattled Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich essentially scooping rival ABC and its planned live interviews with the Governor tomorrow. Portions of the NBC interview aired on Weekend Today, Meet the Press and will air tonight on Nightly News. The full interview will air tomorrow morning on “Today”.
Robach’s interview is Blagojevich’s first since his arrest on charges he tried to sell then Pres.-Elect Barack Obama‘s senate seat.
Late Friday ABC announced it had secured Blago’s first interview set for Good Morning America Monday. ABC’s interview will still be the Governor’s first live interview. He and his wife Patti are then scheduled to appear on “The View” later Monday morning. Blagojevich will be a guest on CNN’s Larry King Live Monday night.
