NBC???: WTVJ Will Handle A Hurricane?

NBC’s station group can’t be happy with some of NBC U 2.0′s efficient ideas.

“If a hurricane hits South Florida, for instance, all of the NBC News properties could take coverage from WTVJ Miami, rather than dispatching their own teams,” today’s B&C story suggests.

An e-mailer responds: “Do we really think Today or Nightly are going to get hurricane coverage from WTVJ? Or that affiliates who pay a princely sum for NBC NewsChannel live shots will give up coverage to help the network save money? Ain’t gonna happen…”
