Ann Curry bungee jumped off the Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough, UK just after 8amET this morning on the Today show. Todayshow.com has the video, which went off without a hitch.

Curry took the jump to raise $10,000 for charity, with Save the Children and United Way receiving the donation, raised by Today viewers. Some extra eyeballs probably wouldn't hurt either.

The bungee jump was part of the "Today Gets eXtreme" series, where so far Meredith Vieira zorbed, Matt Lauer kiteboarded and next last week, Al Roker went hang-gliding.

The post-plunge conversation saw Vieira, Roker, David Gregory and Tom Hanks (who was on promoting his new movie Charlie Wilson's War) in the studio recapping with Curry.
