All three evening news anchors are in Washington, D.C. this afternoon to attend the memorial service for Tim Russert.

• NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams will anchor tonight's show from the Kennedy Center where the service takes place this afternoon.

• ABC World News anchor Charlie Gibson will attend the 4pm service as well, then anchor the broadcast from ABC's DC bureau.

• CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric, who Russert first brought to NBC News, is still on vacation, but she is in DC and attending the services. Russ Mitchell anchors tonight from New York.
