NCAA Basketball helps ’60 Minutes’ score
Propelled by an NCAA tournament runover, CBS News’ “60 Minutes” was the sixth most-watched show of the week last week. The show drew 14.81 million Total Viewers making it Sunday’s most-watched show. “60″ had a 4.1 rating / 11 share of the A25-54 audience. Sunday’s show featured Lesley Stahl’s report on overseas tax shelters that American companies use to save billions in taxes, Scott Pelley’s emotional story about a Staten Island woman who has helped over 100 children maimed by war or disaster. The story was produced by Tanya Simon, the daughter of “60″ correspondent Bob Simon. The third story was Steve Kroft’s profile of legendary high school basketball coach Bob Hurley.
