New Anchor Gigs for Jodi Applegate & Lauren Sivan
Former MSNBC/NBC News anchor Jodi Applegate is on the move again.
After stops at FOX stations in Boston and New York and a layover at News12 Long Island, the anchor is moving to WPIX, the Tribune-owned CW station in New York, reports the Daily News’ Richard Huff.
Applegate was the first voice heard on MSNBC when it went on the air on July 15, 1996. Applegate went on to anchor “Later Today” before leaving NBC News for local news anchor jobs.
Huff reports that Applegate will be replaced — temporarily, we hear — at News 12 by former Fox News anchor Lauren Sivan starting Oct. 5.
