News You Can’t Use? Clinton Touts Rove Support

morningjoe_5-20.jpgSen. Hillary Clinton mentioned the positive analysis by a certain TV news political commentator on the campaign trail, drawing curious applause from her supporters yesterday — FNC’s Karl Rove.

This morning on Morning Joe, the MSNBC team discussed her reference. “I like Hillary Clinton, I respect Hillary Clinton, but we may be grasping at straws when we invoke the name Karl Rove,” said co-anchor Willie Geist.

Later, Clinton supporter Terry McAuliffe appeared as a guest, and Harold Ford, Jr. urged him and the campaign to, “Leave that Karl Rove reference alone.” McAuliffe first tried to justify the comment, then recanted, saying, “I’ve had enough of Karl Rove, I agree with you,” before offering the VP slot to Ford.
