NFL Films and NFL Network are launching a new series Friday September 3: “The Top 100: NFL’s Greatest Players.”
More than 250 players were considered, with current and former NFL players, coaches and front offic epersonnel voting on their picks. The series will compare how someone like New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady ranks next to, say, Jim Thorpe.
“We have the holy trinity of a good sports documentary series – action, analysis and reminiscence,” said NFL Films President Steve Sabol.
The 10-part documentary series will rank the top players in order from 100-1, with each hour-long episode focusing on 10 people. After its launch Sept. 3, episode two will air Tuesday Sept. 7 at 9 PM, with subsequent episodes airing Thursdays at 9 PM starting Sept. 16.
