MSNBC is also on a roll in the sales prime demo (7pm-2amET). The network tells TVNewser they have beaten CNN seven of eight nights, ending last Friday 9 out of 10 nights ending Sunday. (CNN won on Tuesday, Nov. 20).
“It’s fantastic. I think we’re doing great,” NBC SVP Phil Griffin tells TVNewser. “Olbermann is a big part, but taped [programming] is doing well and Dan’s [Abrams] coming along.”
Griffin also says look for a name change in the near future for Abrams’ program which airs at 9pmET. “The show is beginning to take on an attitude.” As for the new, as yet unannounced name, Griffin says “I want it to be bold…to help define the show.”
