In his first interview since being elected president, Barack Obama is getting all three segments of tonight’s 60 Minutes. It’s rare that a single topic gets more than one segment on the show — we’re reminded that Lesley Stahl‘s 2005 interview with Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page was spread across two segments.
So, is this a first?
Steve Kroft, who conducted the interview with the Obamas, reminded viewers of the one thing that would not be left out: “I’m Steve Kroft. Our interview with the Obamas plus Andy Rooney, tonight on ’60 minutes.’”
