Olbermann Back To Countdown Tonight

Keith Olbermann will be cutting his vacation short to cover the assassination of Benazir Bhutto as he returns tonight to anchor Countdown. The Bhutto breaking news resulted in some anchors on Fox News coming in from vacation tonight as well.

For MSNBC, Olbermann’s live show will be preceded by Chris Matthews live on Hardball and David Shuster filling in for Tucker Carlson on Tucker. Dan Abrams has been on vacation this week, and a documentary will air as regularly scheduled following Countdown.

>More: CNN’s Anderson Cooper will be back from vacation to cover the Bhutto assassination tonight as well.

>More from an emailer: “When will the networks realize that the week between Christmas and New Year’s is not a good time to allow everyone vacations? We’ve had a tsunami (12/26/04), the death of a former president (12/27/06), the execution of Saddam (12/30/06) and now the assassination of Bhutto.”
