O’Reilly Blasts Kristof’s “Gimmick”

Following up on this morning’s post:

Bill O’Reilly responded on FNC tonight, calling Kristof’s “pledge drive” column “simply a gimmick, a ploy, to bring my name to his passion.”

E&P reports: “He said he didn’t really mind this, except that Kristof is ‘wrong’ in focusing on Americans when the Sudanese are the ‘villains’ for the mass killing in Darfur, and the United Nations holds the major blame for letting it go on.

Kristof, he added, ‘couldn’t care less if I travel to Darfur. He should direct his ire at the U.N.’

Finally, he noted that he had invited Kristof on his Fox show, The Factor, but ‘so far he has said he is ‘too busy.””
