Oscars Morning: GMA Tweets, Parties Through the Night

champion_2-23.jpgIn addition to co-hosting the official Red Carpet pre-show, Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts interviewed several Oscars winners after the ceremony last night. Roberts talked with Sean Penn, Penelope Cruz and Danny Boyle, while Sam Champion talked to the cast of Slumdog Millionaire.

Champion was on the party beat last night, and was tweeting from the events throughout the night. A sample: “At the slumdog party- surviving on Red Bull and Red Velvet cupcakes- waiting for the winning ensemble to arrive.”

> Update: According to the preliminary ratings, the telecast averaged a 23.3 household rating and 35 share. That’s up 6% from last year’s all-time low of 21.9/33. But down from 2007 ceremony, which averaged a 27.7 in the metered markets, and the 2006 broadcast, which had a 27.1.
