Pacquiao-Mosley Draws More Than 1.3 Million Buys

The Showtime pay-per-view fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley generated more than 1.3 million buys, as first reported by Dan Rafael of ESPN.com

It’s Pacquiao’s best pay-per-view performance total to date. His previous high was 1.25 million buys in December 2008 for his upset victory over Oscar De La Hoya.

According to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, Pacquiao-Mosley generated more than $75 million in television revenue with 700,000 buys coming from cable systems and about 600,000 coming from satellite services.

Pacquiao’s next fight is scheduled for Nov. 12 against Juan Manuel Marquez. The rights to that fight haven’t been awarded to a network yet.
